sounds scary... my macbook pro also got some problems. after came back from bali, i was going to turn on the macbook, which had been sitting in the cupboard for a week), i flipped the case over and found out the battery got bloated and popped out!
sent it for repair yesterday and they can't even turn it out with a new battery. so have to wait for 5 days to get it fixed! hope everything else inside is ok...

If it's the power cord that melted then yeah, you'll get a new cord. New Mac? Not on your life. Applecare in HK is particularly shit compared to rest of the world.

yes bullseye Lester, applecare in HK is shit! i called several times, explained the situation several times, and i'm still in the blackhole... they asked me to go to their store which is either in quarry bay or mongkok... i might just give up and get a new netbook instead...

Quality Time

"Don't listen to your spouse and do something else at the same time. Remember, quality time is giving someone your undivided attention. If you are watching, reading, or doing something else in which you are keenly interested and cannot turn from immediately, tell your spouse the truth. A positive approach might be, "I know you are trying to talk to me and I'm interested, but I want to give you my full attention. I can't do that right now, but if you will give me ten minutes to finish this, I'll sit down and listen to you." Most spouses will respect such a request.
-- The Five Love Languages, Gary Chapman

Kathy has been reading this book and so happened she needed a lot of attention tonight and she made me read this passage! Yes perfect timing! wahaha.

The Secret

Picked up "The Secret" last night, as recommended by different friends including Sachiko from Japan. This book came at the right time when I was having many thoughts about my future. First chapter of "The Secret" is about the law of attraction. Not attraction among humans, it's attraction among thoughts and reality/life. You think and you can. That sort of meanings. Think negative you'll end up with miseries, and think positive you'll succeed.

Success

"If you have a good name, if you are right more often than you are wrong, if your children respect you, if your grandchildren are glad to see you, if your friends can count on you and you can count on them in time of trouble, if you can face your God and say 'I have done my best', then you are a success."
-- Ann Landers

Found this passage on iPhone right between breaks at church. Success is not by how high up the career ladder you are at, or how much money you make, it's how respected you are as a person, a friend, a husband, a son, a father, a colleague. To earn respect is often more difficult than earning money, because it takes much more to be a respected one.
